AI Content & Editorial Disclosure
We believe in being upfront about how our content is created. This page explains where and how AI tools are used on CalcTypes, and β more importantly β how human review fits into that process.
1) Where AI Is Used
AI tools may assist with drafting certain types of supporting content, such as:
- initial drafts of explanatory text accompanying a calculator (e.g., “how this calculator works”);
- drafting FAQ questions and general answers;
- helping organize or structure written content for readability;
- drafting portions of policy pages (such as this one), which are then reviewed and edited for accuracy.
2) Where AI Is NOT Used
The following are not generated by AI without direct human control:
- Calculator formulas and logic β these are based on standard, verified formulas selected and implemented deliberately (see our Methodology);
- Numerical results shown to users β these are computed by the calculator’s programmed logic, not generated by AI;
- Rule/rate data (such as tax slabs) β sourced and verified against official or authoritative references, not generated by AI.
3) Our Human Review Process
Every page on this Website β whether AI-assisted in drafting or not β is personally reviewed by Mohammad Faisal Khan before publishing. This includes checking for:
- factual accuracy and relevance to the specific calculator;
- clarity and appropriate tone;
- alignment with our Editorial Policy and testing standards;
- removal of any generic, inaccurate, or irrelevant AI-generated text.
4) Why We Use AI Assistance
As an independently run website, AI tools help us produce clear, well-structured supporting content more efficiently β allowing more time to be spent on testing calculators, verifying formulas, and responding to user corrections. Our goal is always accuracy and usefulness, regardless of how a first draft was produced.
5) Accuracy Commitment
If you find content that appears inaccurate, outdated, or unclear β whether AI-assisted or not β please report it. We treat all correction reports the same way, regardless of how the content was originally drafted. See our Corrections Process.
