Zakat, Zakat al-Fitr and inheritance, step by step
These calculators help Muslims work through three obligations that involve careful arithmetic. The Zakat calculator adds up cash, gold, silver, investments and business assets, subtracts debts due now, and compares the total with the nisab β 612.36 g of silver or 87.48 g of gold β using daily reference prices, then applies 2.5% on a lunar year.
The Zakat al-Fitr calculator works out the amount per person from a staple food such as wheat, dates or rice, using about 2.5β3 kg per person and the local price you enter. The Islamic inheritance (Faraid) calculator divides an estate among spouses, parents, children and siblings using the fixed Quranic shares, including cases of awl and the Umariyyatayn.
Scholars differ on details such as jewellery, the choice of nisab and some inheritance cases. Each tool states the view it follows; for a binding answer, please consult a qualified scholar or your local Islamic institution.
